As a committed group dedicated to building a strong federation serving our members and communities, we welcome and encourage new members to be a part of our growing development and evolution

It is understood that this Federation is not exclusive, in that members may belong to any or all existing Associations and   Networks as they so choose.

It is inclusive in the Federation hopes to include those in our region who do not belong to any larger body and can do so in a way that is affordable and has direct    benefit to meet hunger needs.

The Federation is geographic only in general terms and those outside the accepted area (south of Leduc to the provincial boundaries) may apply for membership and be accepted on a per case basis.

It is expected that all members be prepared to share surplus resources and provide   mutual   support as and when available and if necessary.   The Federation encourages and assists in the distribution and coordination of local surpluses to meet other needs within the region.

Member organizations adopt the Southern & Central Alberta Food Bank Federation Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association.

Member organizations will adopt and apply the Canadian Food Bank Association Safe Food Handling Guidelines and Code of Ethics to their organizations.

Member organizations will not solicit the donation of food or services for profit.

The minimum annual membership fee for the Southern & Central Alberta Food Bank Federation is a flat fee of $20.00 per organization, but members are encouraged to contribute a higher amount if possible. Memberships are valid for 1 year from AGM to AGM. Membership shall be renewed on a yearly basis to maintain membership.

Payment of membership fees implies that the membership requirements have been met.
