The Foundation's primary activity involves
making grants to registered Canadian charities.
Grants can only be made to registered
charities.
Applications are only considered from
charities that have adopted the Code of Ethical Fundraising
and Financial Accountability designed by Imagine Canada
(formerly the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy).
We do not normally consider applications
from charities that are primarily involved in health, education,
recreation, the arts, cultural activities or religious
activities. Nor do we accept applications from organizations
primarily funded through the tax base, including school
boards, universities, health authorities and child-welfare
authorities.
